BELOW ARE SOME COMMENTS TO HELP YOU BETTER UNDERSTAND THE ORDERING PROCESS. HOWEVER, YOU DO NOT NEED TO STUDY ANY OF THIS TO PURCHASE FROM US. JUST USE "BUY THIS PHOTO" FOR 2007 AND NEWER GALLERIES, OR FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS IN THE GALLERY DESCRIPTION FOR ALMS AND 2006 AND OLDER GALLERIES.

PRODUCTS: We offer a large selection of print sizes ranging from 4 x 6 inches to 24 x 36 inches. We also offer a wide range of photo merchandise including mugs, shirts, home and office decorative items and more. Finally, JPEG electronic images can be downloaded directly to your computer in 1mp and 4mp sizes. To view the product line, simply click "buy this photo", which will take you to the print ordering page. You may then review print sizes, and see the other product offerings by clicking the product tabs at the top of the ordering pages.

INTERACTIVE ORDERING and PAYMENT: All images in our 2007 and newer galleries are high resolution. The ordering process for images in these galleries is a simple interactive point and click process. Payment is by major credit card. The exception is American Le Mans Series images, which are subject to special licensing. If you are interested in ALMS images, please email us the gallery/event names, dates and image numbers you are interested in.

All images in 2006 and earlier galleries are medium resolution. To purchase images in these older galleries, we ask that you e-mail us the gallery/event names, dates and image numbers. We will upload high resolution versions of the images to the 2003-2006 High Resolution Ordering Gallery, from which you may order anything in our product line. Please note image numbers are located below the bottom left of enlarged images. They are not the progressive numbers above enlarged images.

PHOTOGRAPHER ORDER PROOFING: When you order, you will be notified that we have reserved a seven business day "proofing" period. This simply means we will review the image(s) you have ordered, make adjustments (generally true color contrast, color balance and sharpening) and then release the order for printing/production. The reason for the seven business days is to give us time if we are travelling. Normally we do the adjustments and release the order within a day. The exception to the proofing delay is electronic digital purchases which are downloaded upon payment with no proofing (see more below under DIGITAL JPEG DOWNLOADS).

We make every attempt to only display clear quality images in our galleries. However, with the volume we deal with, sometimes an image that is not up to our quality standards slips through and is displayed. If during the proofing process, we determine an image is not a good candidate for sale, we will contact you and suggest an alternative photo. If you agree we will upload the replacement, and the order will move forward (there is no need for you to amend your order).

IMAGE CROPPING OPTION: A unique feature in the ordering process is the purchaser can crop an image if desired. If you decide you want to experiment with cropping you will need to start the purchase process on a photo. Simply click "buy this photo", pick a fairly large size and place a "1" in the number being purchased box. Next the screen will change, and you will have a crop/no crop option. Pick the crop option, and do a rough crop. Once you have the rough crop, you can move the entire square around on the photo to fine tune it. Then you can purchase, or just cancel the purchase by pressing the icon to empty your shopping cart. This is a nice option, and it does not cost anything but time to experiment a bit. One more thing, if you crop so much that you get a warning that the image is now too small for a print of the size you want, just email us, and we will upload a larger file.

DIGITAL JPEG DOWNLOADS: As stated above, JPEG electronic downloads are also available. This convenient service is instant, and eliminates the necessity of purchasing CDs. Again, these are in 1mp and 4mp sizes only. The smaller size is more than adequate for small prints, computer screen display, e-mailing etc. 4mp is higer resolution and more than adequate for prints up to 13 x 19 inches. The assumption for downloads is the customer will do their own enhancements (contrast, color balance, sharpening etc.) with their own photo software. Thus downloads are sent to the customer immediately upon payment. If you prefer to have us do the adjustments to your digital purchase, just email us the gallery/event names, dates and image numbers. We will proof the images and notify you when they are available for download.
